(I originally wrote this about 10 years ago I think, but it's still relevant and I figured probably worth sharing.)

Don't tell me I'm worthless
Don't tell me to just give up

I will not settle for just mediocre
I will not let you control my life
Don't tell me I can't
I know I will make it
I'll do whatever I can
So I don't end up like you

You can't deny your own unhappiness
You can't see the life that you just missed
Now I'm more determined
I am more aware
And I can see that you don't care

So whether or not you help me out
I am leaving, without a doubt
I won't look back
I won't give up
And I'm gonna make it now
Somehow

I know I'm not worthless
And I will never give up
