You Don't Know Me

Oh to be an angst ridden teenager... sometimes I have to laugh at myself. Though honestly, those feeling were real back then so I shouldn't try to pretend they didn't happen.

Here is something I wrote in the fall/winter of 2003.


You don't know me!
You can't change the way I feel.
You can't hear the voice that's screaming inside.
You don't know the me that's real.

How can you say you listen
to what I have to say
when all you do is scream at me
when you don't get your way.

I hate the way you make me feel,
the hate I have for you.
It's not the way it's supposed to be,
don't wanna talk to you.

You make me wanna end it all.
You make me wanna scream!
You make me wanna say and do,
what I don't really mean.

These things I know I cannot change,
these things inside of you.
The hate I have will slowly fade.
Will nothing change in you?

I know I shouldn't feel this way.
