Discontent Dreamer

Should I dare to dream?
For dreaming just brings disappointment,
and makes life so hard to bear.
Why does dreaming bring such sadness,
when it should bring such joy?

A hope, a wish, a change.
Freedom.
An impossibility,
except only after the worst,
could it happen.
But then is it really for the better?

I know it can never be,
but my heart does not like to listen.

My tears fall slowly.
I remain the same.
